About the Project
The Secure Future Project is an Erasmus+ project funded by the European Commission that focuses on improving the skills of Vocational Education teachers, and students as the workforce of the future, and SME employees in Cyber Security field, which is one of the vulnerable areas and the compelling need in the society, education and business sector. The primary aim of the Secure Future project is to create an ECVET based training content on cybersecurity and provide VET students in IT Branches (Network Operations, Web Programming, Database Programming, Computer Technical Service) and related SME employees in related departments an up-to-date training opportunity that is valid at EU level and highly needed among Europe considering lack of educational opportunities in the topic.

Objectives

In recent years, the world has turned into a global village where individuals are digitally connected. Although interconnectedness brings many opportunities, it also comes with many challenges such as cyber-criminality for people, businesses, and governments. Consequently, cybersecurity has been an issue of increasing concern.

The SecureFuture project aims to raise awareness and provide VET based content on cybersecurity to VET students in IT branches and to SMEs employees in IT related departments. The goals are to increase their level of cybersecurity qualification, protect people and companies against cyber-threats and contribute to institutionalise updated cybersecurity training in Europe.

The concrete OBJECTIVES are:

Develop a European Qualification Framework through Comparison of Current National Competencies on Cyber Security after an in-depth analysis and benchmarking of the current trainings on cybersecurity in Europe

Creating a European Cyber Security Curriculum that valid through Europe which includes learning outcomes that learners need to acquire in Training Content

Providing up-to-date Training Content on Cyber Security with 10-modules which accessible anywhere via Secure Future e-Learning Platform to be used by VET trainers and for self-study of IT staff

Elaborating a Guide to streamline the integration of Secure Future project outcomes into VET programs and SMEs

Target Groups
The main target groups for the Secure Future project are ,
- VET students from IT branches such as Network Operations, Web Programming, Database Programming, Computer Technical Service.
- VET providers from IT branches in formal and non-formal education
- Employees at SMEs who work at IT (or related) departments or responsible for cyber securities of their companies (Technical Services, IT operators, webpage designers, digital marketers ,etc)
In order to reach our target group, dissemination will be applied to following groups at regional/ local/ national levels;
